DOPE STYLE!!…i like the jordans.
i love the way how u have given this look a classic touch with those clubmaster shades
i love the way you have given the whole NY look some classic touch with those Clubmaster shades
Seeing some of your photos, it’s amazing how you can actually change your style, come up with different looks all the time, and look good in them! Nonetheless, you don’t seem to lose your personality in the process. You are a fashion chameleon in the most delightful way! :-)
TO ALL:
If you were offended in any way by this post, I apologize, it was certainly not my intention.

I’m a native New Yorker and fellow columbia alumnus. Not only is this entry a respectful homage to 9/11 but the clothing actually reflects something about new yorkers that can’t be put in words. Thanks for the inspirational message Dan and keep posting.
Nice AJ V’s my dude. I saw on one of your older pictures you had the black/cement III’s too. (one of my all-time favorites). Keep doin’ you! The blog is sick.
Love from the West, Peace.
Wow… The man is paying homage to 9/11 not promoting his blog. I dont understand how the only thing some of you have to say is “dont use 9/11 to promote your blog” or your candaian. Really?
Like PV said, i dont see a link to where it says go buy this and wear this on 9/11…
I’m an Aussie and I was shocked and saddened by the events of September 11. I can remember exactly where I was when it was happening. I paused to remember the people who died in this tragic event too yesterday. I don’t have a blog but if I did and I posted a comment honoring those that died in the senseless violence, would that make me a bad person? I think not.
I don’t see anywhere in SB’s blog entry where he says, oh and by the way here’s a link to my store, or buy a camo shirt etc.
We were all changed by September 11, some more than others, but we all felt it. Even here in Australia. I’m sure SB is the same and that he is honoring the people of the city he now calls home. Who cares if he is from Canada or runs a business. I say good on him for recognising the spirit of New York and America.
You’re only 23??? Must be in a league of your own at that age!! (if not any).
This is just the begining for you. Can’t wait to see what happens…hopefully you will continue to document everything. It’s like your own reality show! Keep it coming
You have one of my favorite sites on the internet. And one of my favorite twitters too. Always entertaining. makes me want to talk to you in person
Keep up the awesome work

I love the site and I love your style. But the flat brim…come on now, you’re better than that.
So what if he is from Canada, you guys are the biggest whiners i know… he never said “its the American Way” he said “its the New York Way.” Styleblogger came from Canada but he also lived in NYC, if your logic is that a Canadian-American cant feel melancholy about the events of 9/11 you guys aren’t true New Yorkers. New York is a city based on diverse ethnic groups and an Asian-American, African-American, Hispanic-American, were all New Yorkers. So stop crying about a post and enjoy his website like normal people. He doesn’t have to post these fits if he doesn’t want to, and hes not marketing or profiting from this post. People are so inconsiderate these days…
you must live under a rock or something dude, I’ve never read something so mindless and unsubstantiated. People pay homage to the tragedy of 9/11 in their own way. A musician sings a song dedicated to 9/11, not to advance their business, but because music is how they communicate with large groups of people. So let the musicians sing, let the actors act, and let the bloggers blog! Crawl back under your rock if you can’t see that bud. SB keep doing what you do!
Willk, I agree with your sentiments as well.
Agreed with the first post. That said, keep up the good work.
next time don’t use September 11 to promote your style blog. It devalues your advice and makes it look like you are taking advantage of a somber day to advance your self and your business. I’m typically a big fan of your site but this born and bread New Yorker thinks it’s a poor choice of both style and substance.
Are you serious? His post paid homage to the entire incident and the people that died on 9/11. I mean, he could have just not posted anything at all. Would you have criticized that as well? I actually felt inspired by this post; his message was that New Yorkers get hurt and get back up and move on which I can relate to being born and living in NYC my entire life.
Hey guys,
What sites can you recommend to shop at? Vancouver doesnt have the best selection when it comes to men’s clothing…
I would recommend possibly making the trip to Seattle, WA. It has an awesome store called Blackbird and it is also the home of the brand Filson- I’m sure you can find some great stuff there. Also, this may help:

Ya seattle/bellevue would be the place to check. Nordstrom and Neimans are both there and that blackbird place is cool. Deli downtown is cool to.
It’s crazy man, just the other day I pulled out my uncle’s Green Beret jacket, and now I see this! I wasn’t sure if it would be cool or not, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try it out at least once. You’ve convinced me to keep it up, thanks!
Sometimes it ain’t where ya from but where ya at!
^ Guaranteed written by some Canadian, who probably loves to sit back and criticize the United States on a regular basis while ignoring the fact that Canada is always the FIRST ones to jump in and get involved in any war…
