3. Heritage with a Twist
“When collaborating it’s very important to stay within the brand’s DNA so you can relay the message of brand heritage but add a twist that’s true to your point of view as a designer and hasn’t been made available yet… Figuring out what people want before they know they want it is the most challenging part.
This look includes my collaboration with Ebbets, who does an amazing job with quality and construction. It’s their Coach’s Jacket but tailored to fit closer to the body and made using a thicker, more substantial black satin.
The pants are Edun, grey herringbone wool with a tuxedo stripe down the side and cuffed bottoms. I’m all about cuffed bottoms [to bring attention to the footwear!] which is in play with the Kith Blue Label in a major way.”
“The shoes are the Eclipses/Leathertoes I designed with Asics – they’re a very special shoe to me.
These have a very dark navy nubuck that leads to a black leather toe with infrared accents. They come out in November. I’m very excited about them.”
