I recently scored your gray hopsack suit and am going to wear it as my wedding suit in May in Malibu.

Wanted to pick your brain for ideas on how to put a great look together (w/o being too loud) for the big day. Fabrics for ties w/ a white shirt and brown leathers?

Thanks for your message. When I was designing the suit, I tried my best to cross formal elements with casual ones. I think for an ideal look the tie should do the same. 

Keep in mind as well, for weddings it’s always a good idea to stick to a classic look, since your wedding photos will be on the wall much longer than any trend will last – especially in tailored clothing. 

I’m thinking a charcoal or dark navy knit tie. Or a dark cotton with a simple and subtle neutral stripe.

Keep it narrow but not skinny, like the jacket’s lapels.
