Firstly, to all of our readers - Happy New Year!
2010 was an outstanding year for the site, thanks to your continued support – and I promise that our plans for 2011 are even more exciting.
To kick-off the new year, we (the growing StyleBlogger Team) present you with our first video project. Over the past few months, our videographer Chris and I have been brainstorming, trying to determine the best approach for the video episodes. We eventually agreed on a general vision for the video series: a real, unscripted “reality show” loosely documenting the behind-the-scenes of managing a growing website and all the opportunities that come along with it (styling gigs, design collaborations, starting a clothing line, etc). The basic premise was partly inspired by the HBO series “How to Make it in America” – the real version.
Please keep in mind that every video episode going forward will include style tips & advice since that is, and always will be, the foundation of this site.
I hope you all enjoy this first video – an introduction to the exciting series to come. If the videos are anything like the posts have been, they will only get better with time.
Yours in style,
SB

If you arent already using one, consider a shotgun mic or a wireless lavalier- it will certainly allow for cleaner audio.
Keep up the good work.
Dan-

Big Things Poppin!
you should how some of your friends’/old teammates’ styles have evolved and grown with some of your aid. I think it would interesting to see the different ways that the style blogger has affected the people he’s lived and been in close contact with… just a thought. Love the site!
Goes to show- If you think it, chances are he’s done it! Check out these posts SB has done featuring his friends:

That would be awesome to see some of your old teammates featured/how their style has gotten better because of you
Sorry to jump the gun there man. I interpreted your suggestion a bit differently at first- keep in mind that influence is a two way street! But I see now what you meant and yes I agree it’s a good idea!
This is the next best thing since Oprah’s OWN network. Keep ya head up, you are doing big thangs!
Big fan of the content, really loved the material. But I would just change up the music, this is not Lil’ Wayne’s documentary. Give 9th Wonder instrumentals a swing.
Congrats my dude. Seems like you put in a lot of work to get where you at now. I visit your site daily for tips and advice. Keep up the good work. We all looking forward to the next episodes. Peace
Hi, a friend of mine introduced me to your blog and i’ve been reading it religiously since. I really like the clothes you wear, but as a teen guy, and can’t exactly afford bespoke. Could you do some posts on how to be stylish on a budget, i.e. what to break bank on and what to buy at target? Thanks man, love the blog!
Sky is the Limit, brah.
Good Job and GOod LUCK!!!

More! More! More! Keep em comin’ Haha this is awesome.
You have a great voice, never heard it before. I’m truly excited-pictures can often “lie”, but videos rarely do.
Happy New Years, Dan! Awesome way to kick it off. This is a fantastic idea and should do a lot to continue to separate you from what the other guys are doing. I have been a loyal reader for a while now and wish you the best of luck in this and everything else you have planned for the year.
This question is unrelated to your latest blog post, but I was wondering do you wash your raw denim or you just constantly wear them out to get the natural fades and wrinkles?
Dan, really loved this, and the idea behind it. Cant wait to see what is to come Christian http://www.stylesage.co.uk
Awesome – great start. GQ, Esquire and Details – pay attention to what Dan is doing! Readers like me get as many great ideas from Dan as from your magazines. Dan’s site is way more fun to navigate than your web sites.
Hey Dan
Been reading your site for a while, and I have just loved seeing the evolution of it.
Best wishes and keep it up.
