There is so much personal style in NYC, you can find inspiration on every street corner.
I think it’s important to observe how others express themselves through clothing, and how their style tells a story about them.
Here are some of the guys that caught Alex’s eye on the streets of the Lower East Side.
1. Dressed-Up Rugged

Awesome textures and colors here, and each of the pieces is a versatile menswear staple.
2. Doggy Bag
A smart casual look with great fit and authentically broken-in pieces. Clever use of the canvas duffle bag.
3. 3/4 Knit Outerwear
This is one of the coolest looks I’ve seen in a while. I love the flowy proportion play, the simple color palette, the longer DB jacket, the broken-in boots, the wider rolled trousers…his overall swagger. Killin’ it.
4. Finer Details
The clothing here is great, practical and nicely broken-in. What really stands out, though, is the sharp grooming and flattering eyewear.
5. Simple not Fussy
Love the simplicity, and the raglan-sleeve coat. Nice touch with the mix of three shades of beige, too.
Thanks for reading, and special thanks to those who allowed us to take their photo. Plenty more to come.
Yours in style,
TSBmen

Just saw #5 on Howtotalktogirlsatparties Tumblr. You guys cool now?
That olive parka up there is serious!
Just so you know, you guys are better at this than the Sartorialist.
(I know, I said it!)
Nice work, Rex!
Altough I prefer the tailored looks, it’s a nice break to see some more casual looks once in a whIle!
The doggy bag guy has a jacket similar with the one that Wes has, isn’t that right?
Doggy Bag guy = too fresh
