Rule #1 of the TSB Office: Bring Your “A” Game.
Comment below to let us know which outfit is your favorite!
Alex
“On that cheap and comfy game. Uniqlo shirt and cords, Old Navy henley, Levi’s pea, and a scarf I stole from Dan.”
Dan
“Keeping it true to my Canadian roots again. Tuque game heavy.”
John
“Turtleneck season is almost over, had to break this out one more time.”
Wes
“While Dan’s been on this all black thing lately, I’ve been messing around with an all blue palette.”
Gabe
Our in-house web genius Gabe keeping it casual but sharp, fresh off his TSB Upgrade.
Gunarat Lorn
My man Gunarat tracked down our studio, rang the doorbell, and hustled his way into an impromptu job interview. We’re not hiring, but his thrifted outfit helped his case, as did his Ivy League degree.
Thanks for reading,

Gunarat
info on loafer Dan?
Bass Weejuns
Gunarat crushed it. High five to the nice application of colors/textures/layers.
Gunarat should get a job just for shitting on you guys with that fit, seriously blew you guys out of the water
1. Gunart
2. Wes
I think John takes this one.
Wes, BOOM! Playa looks like he raided my closet & killed it doing so. Lookin’ good bro
Wes for sure. The Blue on the black is so sharp and clean. Well done.
Gunarat for sure, although closely followed by Gabe and Wes.
Where is Towni?
I was out sick with a fever. Feeling much better and back in the swing of things today!
Wes is the winner today.
ps.. Alex -dude, was looking at some old posts.
You should grow your hair out again. You had a totally different look with thick wavy hair. (just sayin)
John! Tailored badass!
Wes. Love the blue on blue on blue.
All great, but Alex is my favorite today!
Wes 1st, then Gunarat (close)
and, guys, please, where can we see the rankings?
Gabe for the win.
Dan – burn that pea coat. It’s a disgrace.
peacoat?
I think that was a reference to your strange denim db blazer.
At first glance, I didn’t really like Dan’s look because i’d never wear blue and green like that (blue and olive is cool) so Dan gets my vote for making me think, and i think it looks good. It is starting to look a little summery though (linen jacket?).
Gunarat knocked it out of the park today. John was a close second as he continues to convey sophistication and maturity while also seeming youthful.
Would you be interested in designing a line of bespoke halloween costumes for RRL S/S 2014? Let me know.
-R. Lipschitz
Sent from my Motorola Razor.
Wes fo-sho.
Although I agree that Gunarat made a great first impression, Wes just looked so easy and cool…like, he wasn’t even trying, but killed it anyways.
Dan,
As you age, do you find yourself questioning whether you’ve overly tapered your clothing on certain garments when you were younger, not allowing room for any small changes in size?
Hey Jon. Great question. When I first started getting custom clothes and seeing a tailor, I was still a college basketball player, weighing 205 lbs. Now I’m leaner (and a little softer) but I find the slim clothing to be a very accurate “daily check” and the best motivation to continue to eat well and stay fit.
If sh-t really hits the fan and I let it go, the clothes can always be let out :)
Cheers
New bloke kills it. As for you, Wes, is that the blue steel sultry look?
Gunarat looks like a TSB clone, copied straight from the book. My vote is between Wes and John
Gunarat.
Wes with the K.O. Well done. Dig Dan’s direction though with the close second.
Gunarat did really good job on layering, strong first. Wes second and then Dan.
Gunarat takes it!
How do I get an impromptu job interview? ;)
Gunarat takes it for me, the texture of the pocket square and the cardigan is a great one-two punch
Gunarat for sure.
John looks great!
Gunarat. Def Gunarat. John I like it. You’ve got a special something in the mix.
Wes, simple and clean.
voting for dan because i can’t get those colors outta my head!
but overall, i’d give it to gunarat.
gunarat easily. towni second b/c i’m sure wherever he is today, he’s holding it down
Dang, am I giving you guys trouble on home court? Shooot, Imma take my resume to where the people got actual game.
Sike, mad respect for the team. Flattered to be even on here. Got a lifelong supporter here.
Gunarat.
Alex. I like the color palette.
Gunarat! Those loafers are a real killer. And Alex is a close second with that scarf.
John, Gunarat second.
Gunarat takes first hands down. Although, Wes is a close second, followed by John.
Wes, love the shades of blue.
Wes.
I prefer John. I just wished he didn’t tuck his pants in his boots.
Its Dan for me this time then Gunarat.
Dan
I don’t know about that denim peacoat Dan. It reminds me so much of an apron a preschool teacher would wear when the kids are fingerpainting.
Rest of the outfit is killer though. I wanna know what that green shirt looks like.
Alex was winning, but then I scrolled down to Gabe, who made it neck and neck. Scrolling down some more and all of a sudden a stranger throws me for a loop. It’s a close call. I’m giving it to Gunarat for gumption, with Alex and Gabe tied for a close second.
Gunarat winnnns.
His knit layer looks really cool. Typicially I don’t like the unbuttoned-from-the-bottom thing. Usually it makes men’s hips look wider.
I was under the assumption that the general rule was to never (ever?) button the bottom button on your cardigan/vest/jacket etc. This is to create a shape that makes the waist seem narrow and it’s also said to prevents clothes from rising up (waistcoats atleast).
Oh, and John wins this one for me with Gunarat a very close second!
This is a relatively recent “rule,” and one that some people obviously disagree with.
I actually believe that its a sartorial tradition that began with the Duke of Windsor almost 75 years ago–that’s nearly as old as any menswear tradition still observed today.
From my research, this standard actually began with Edward VII in the 1900′s who was too fat to button all his buttons. People didn’t want to offend, so they did the same, and it stuck. As a matter of fact, I just wrote about this in my blog yesterday (http://tmblr.co/ZJ6yAtfdXAGg – I don’t usually try to pimp my blog in other blogger’s comment forums, but I thought this was too big of a coincidence to pass up)! I always knew it as more of a rule for blazers and jackets than for cardigans (with cardigans I usually adopt a ‘whatever is most comfortable’ policy).
Harris, like Adam said, that tradition is in regards to jackets, blazers, and waistcoats, not cardigans. I can’t imagine designers really tailor sweaters to not be buttoned at the bottom. But, to be honest, I know very little about the actual fashion industry these days.
John. Nice turtleneck
WES by K.O. Nice work, again.
Gunarat, followed by Wes.
Wes, then the new guy. ;)
Gunarat outclasses everyone. I don’t mean to be a hater, but Wes, in every one of your WIWT entries your outerwear looks too small on you. It’s possible you’re rolling up your sleeves to show some cuff, but it’s not working for me.
True, that’s probably it. It tends to look a little too snug IMO, but maybe it’s just me. I like your creativity though.
I think the fit on Wes clothes is PERFECT.
Wes, do you have exact measurements for when you adjust pants (like your jeans in a previous post going from boot cut to tapered), or do you just go by what looks good using your tailor?
no unfortunately I don’t.
I’m fortunate enough that Franklin at the Tailoring Room knows exactly how I want my pants.
What I can’t tell you is that I usually have a 7-7.5 leg opening, no break and a slight taper toward the bottom.
I hope this helps.
Yes, thanks very much! Cheers
Lorn got it
Gunarat and then Dan.
My man blues brother Wes
Wes and then Gunarat. Sorry can’t handle cargo pants…
Will this be the first time a non-TSB member wins this one? Because Gunarat’s definitely got my vote.
Gunarat wins it, with West a close second. I’m sure y’all can find that dude a job somewhere in the studio.
Dan and John are my fav’s. But I’m gonna go with Dan for his pop of colors! (Gettin’ into that Spring mode)
To all those in the fashion industry who are steadfast in their belief that blues and blacks shouldn’t go together: Please have all of your personal effects removed from your office by close of business today. Maybe go try your hand at insurance sales. You just received a Master’s class on textures, layering and (color palette) from the new CEO, Wes.
Bravo, my brother!
wow man, thanks! I really appreciate this.
This is news to me – people don’t believe blue and black do not go together ??
Can a vote be made for someone who is not officially on the TSB roster? Is so, Gunarat.
If not, then Wes.
Gabe, nice to see you keeping the up the TSB Upgrades.
Gunarat’s is my pick.
John absolutely wins. His blend of elegance, London street edge and sophistication is effortlessly executed. Bravo!
John. in my opinion has has been killing it since arriving on scene
John, Gabe, and Wes.
Dan, though Gunarat is pulling it in strong.
Gunarat gets my vote
Gunarat
Dan for sure! That chambray double breasted jacket is killer! Hope it made its way into production.
Too much layering for “Gunarat” so I’m going for Wes.
John
Im going to have to give it to the new guy Gunarat.
He has come out guns blazing, love the colour combo
Dan,
Where did you get that denim peacoat? Looks dope
Everyone looks good but I’m given it to the new guy.
Gunarat…. nice layered look, great color mix and thrifted!
What quilted jacked is Wes wearing? Looks nice.
its Club Monaco Richard
Wow, good tilt today fellas…..howver, this one goes to the newbie hustler….Gunarat.
John steals my vote with this outstanding turtleneck. But what happened to Towni?
Towni’s out sick today
So now Gunarat’s got an in… The Kaepernick strategy.
Wes takes it.
Gunarat is a strong second.
Vives les tuques!^^
Gunarat. Although, Dan, you gotta help out us lowly state school kids once in a while.
