2. Kickin’ it
Of course, they’re perfect for a casual weekend, and they stand out just enough from the typical sea of blue denim.
The neutral light grey color works with everything and allows for other pieces (like this perfect vintage varsity or these beautifully-made sneakers) to shine.
I typically hem my lightweight jeans with no-break (along with most of my spring/summer pants). It helps them breathe, making them look and feel lighter and more sunshine-appropriate.
We were going to include this varsity jacket in the new TSB SHOP…but after wearing it for a few hours, I might have to hold on to it… Decisions, decisions.

I’ve been looking for the perfect blazer. I found it on slide 3. Where can I get one?
Great post! I got a lot of ideas from this one. Did you leave the collars unbuttoned on purpose in look 1? Is this a style statement or personal preference (the two may be the same)?
Diggin’ the seasonal influence, Dan. Can’t look at a single one of these outfits without thinking of Fabolous:

Really nice serie, the varsity jacket and look 3 with the pink shirt are my favorite!
#3 – definitely one of my favorite looks on this site so far. Those monks!!
DAMN, that’s a nice blazer
Hittin’ em with that flex on slide 2
I see you sir
Superb looks. Have to say the varsity look is excellent. Consistently excellent content
Thanks Ian. Appreciate your support.
Anybody know of similar shoes to the Black leather/suede spectator wingtip shoes by Barker Black? Did a google search for those exact ones but nothing really popped up.
The wingtips linked in the Shop This Look section are essentially the same, just all leather.
Cheers.
7′s are the best jeans/pants I’ve ever owned. Great quality and fit that’s not super flashy.
Are you wearing the Slimmy line?
The pair I’m wearing is linked in the Shop This Look column.
Cheers.
Nice varsity jacket! And of course, you’re right about look #3!
Great looks. So on a related note – is going commando a “thing” now? Like going without socks?
Haha going commando has nothing to do with socks, at least where I’m from…
But yea, sockless for spring has become fairly mainstream.
I love the Black and Blue composition of look 1. I’m definitely taking notes :)
Look #3, in my best Christoph Waltz impression: “That’s a BINGO!!!”
Hahaha
Look number three might be my favorite look you’ve ever done. I really think you’re at your best in a simple outfit comprised of perfect fitting classics – especially that perfect blue blazer. I’m definitely going to do something like this as soon as my new custom navy suit arrives. Just got some white selvedge denim as well.
Thanks Sam. I agree, a simple outfit rooted in classics will always appeal to a wide range of tastes.
Great combo in all three looks Dan.
Love the Varsity Jacket colors too.
That’s a keeper.
Definitely a keeper…at least for now :)
Ya man – don’t give it up. Its a classic.
Great outfits. I was just starting to hunt for an off-white denim to wear this spring. Very timely post.
That blazer is perfect. I’m really struggling to find something similar just now. Any recommendations?
Love all 3 looks. That varsity jacket is sick wit it! The simplicity of the third outfit is great, simple isn’t easy. Great post
Simple. Not necessarily easy. Thx Brady.
That varsity IS perfect. I don’t usually go crazy for em, but that is one of the best I’ve seen.
Great reminder re. Lighter-weight jean options-> warmer weather. I always forget this! Now, just gotta find a pair that fit… Look 3 is exceptionally on point, btw.
