TSB Street Style – May 3 2013

May 3rd, 2013

Downtown NYC there’s style inspiration on every street corner – just keep your head up and eyes open.

For those who aren’t in the big apple, Alex cruises the streets to capture these stylish gents. Notice how the clothes, and the way they are worn, tell stories about the men in the photos.

Wow I have no jokes… #2 and #5 Are f-ckin’ MANIMALS. Two badass outfits with shoes that say, “f-ck you”!

  • http://ramblingsofawould-berenaissanceman.blogspot Joseph

Sorry, I really enjoy Nick Wooster’s sense of fashion, it’s usually a good mix of fun and edgy, but those shoes are just silly. I tried to think of a better word there, but I think silly is the most appropriate.

    • Jack

It’s only silly until everyone starts rocking leopard print. Someone has to be ahead of the trends and it’s normally Nick.

      • Joseph

Well, I hope that’s a trend he doesn’t succeed in starting.

        • Andrew J

          He did it with camo!

  • http://profblack.blogspot.kr/ Professor Black

Turn this into a competition as well!

  • M.

Cleaned up punk look is so damn creative and yet so simple.
I love it very much. I wouldn’t ever be able to pull it off, but it fits that person so well, it’s like it’s his default look, his skin.

    I like the street style.
But I’m not of fan of Wooster’s style and I think he’s looking a little to old for those kinda silly looks he’s trying to pull off with wild kid punk clothes.

  • Marcus Forlan

I have never been a fan of street style (e.g. GQ) looks cuz they are not my thing. Not sure if Alex is catering to the tastes of the readers of this blog, but these posts are the bomb.

Beats any other street style posts I’ve seen elsewhere.

    Great job.

  • Gazman

You’d never in your wildest imagination see a collection of such well dressed men in any place in Australia. This is the land that gave a wide berth to style.

    • HD

      Agreed.

      • M.

It has to do a lot with the culture and the mentality in NYC.

    • Rich

I’m from New Zealand and that’s another thing we share with our Aussie brothers! The average kiwi man has no idea.

  • yambassador

    Love the Jordan IV’s

  • Greg

Okay, wow. Anyone know what that coat is in the first pic? The stone-colored topcoat worn by Mr. Punk?

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      I think it’s Helmut Lang

    • Marcus Forlan

Ya man – I was thinking the same thing. Killer.

  • TO

Best one yet Alex! Good job man.

  • Edwin C

It’s always a hit or miss with Wooster. Can’t say I’m too crazy about that look. Murder Michael however, he killed it! (pun intended).

  • John

One of the best! Great job Alex!
On a side note, when are we going to see Gabe’s next feature?

  • Poofito

    Swagged-out punk [fixed]

    Muy buenos photos Alejandro!

    • Chad

      Just no. No swag, ever.

      Cleaned up punk is correct.

      • Misha G.

In my opinion, grown up punk fits best.I agree, on the fact that swag shouldn’t be used.

  • El Zilcho

I don’t get the cargo trend. They’re ugly and ridiculous whichever way you wear them. I should be invited to the Playa Haters Ball

    • Misha G.

Don’t hate the playa, hate the game!
