Alex consistently has the greatest captions.

My vote has to go to Dan today, though. Even if his pants are getting a little loose for my tastes.

  • Pat

Dan for the win! I love Dan’s Browns lol.

  • http://www.thecufflink.com Jarrod King

My vote is for Wes because I’m a big fan of color. You all have great taste!

  • Brian

love Wes’ colors but my vote goes to Alex cause I have been rocking the short sleeve buttons ups a lot the past year. haven’t gone to the hawaiian shirts but feeling a little inspired now.

  • http://undefined Mark

I am new to this site, and trying to develop/improve my ability to dress myself in more stylish attire. Can the guys post the brands of what they are wearing? Thanks!

My vote is for John. I really like Dan’s outfit, but it seems more appropriate for later in the year (at least as I sit here in 85′ New Orleans today).

    • John Crossley

      Hey Mark,
      Thanks for the vote.
We don’t mind posting brands but more important, we encourage you to take the looks you identify with and make them your own.
      Shades: Ray Ban
      Blazer: Polo Ralph Lauren
      Gingham Shirt: J. Crew
      Chinos: Zara
      Boat Shoes: Sperry

    Fantastic work everybody!

Wes, what size are you in Uniqlo polos? We dont have a store here in Los Angeles yet, but I did buy from Uniqlo x Michael Bastian polos online.. Ive been told to size up.. Just hoping they fit!

And John is starting to creep up to the top of these polls.. keep up the good work yall

    • http://www.tsbmen.com Westley Dimagiba

that polo is a S, fits me kind of snug… Dan just bought a few MBxUniqlo polos yesterday and he grabbed a M.

      • http://undefined Steve

        Thanks! Good looking out!

  • http://dapperadvisor.tumblr.com Akil M

John always comes correct, Wes is killing it with that blazer and dope pocket square, but Dan definitely got my vote for that 3-piece ensemble.

  • http://undefined DS

This comment is for the guys as well as the readers. Let us all pick up a dicitonary and/or thesaurus so as to immediately stop the use of the following phrases: “go-to” and “game.” These are horrifically overused. The word “favorite” would be a nice substitute occasionally. And rather than “sock game” or “brown game” we could simply say “I’ve been wearing more colorful socks lately” or “I’ve been wearing more brown.” These seem suitable.

I only say this because I am a regular reader and appreciate the blog. But surely we are all tired of these phrases.

    • John Crossley

So you’re saying we all need to step up our vocabulist game? Don’t worry, I got my go-to Merriam x Websters S/S 2013 and it’s dope as hell.

I’m just being facetious. Thanks for reading DS.

      • http://undefined DS

Actually laughed out loud John. Great reply. Love the site and the work you guys are doing. I shouldn’t make public my disdain for menswear’s overused phrases. So let’s try this again…

Hey guys. Long time reader here. Thanks for all the work you guys are doing. It helps me and others greatly and surely I look a little better these days because of this site. Especially due to John’s looks on WIWT. I’ll keep reading to learn to step up my style game a little more.

Wes, rad yellow pants bro. I’m wearing mine tomorrow… Thanks for the ideas. I teach a one hour English class on Saturdays to a Buddhist monk and I’m dying to see him maintain his stone face when I walk up with my killer yella’ pants, blue jacket, linen shirt and spankin’ bright pocket cloth on.

  • tsbfollower

Dan, my goodness, your wardrobe is DEEP.

  • Carson

For me John wins this round. I’m really into the whole colored pants and navy blazer look lately. As a current college “fratdog” its something I can pull off without seeming too out there but still being more stylish than most.

    • John Crossley

In college, wearing any blazer made me more stylish than most. It was northfaces and hoodies as far as the eye could see.
You can really do a lot with a great navy blazer and a few colored pants. Great collegiate style.

  • http://www.theseals.com.au Desmond

Dan – got your brown game on point…

  • Adam M

Dan for his casual side of dressy and his happy-to-be-together shades/textures of brown.

  • Justinjones

  • Brady P

Great call in the uniqlo polo collars. Just got my MBxUniqlo polo in the mail today, very sturdy placket. Do they all have that sturdy feel?

  • http://ramblingsofawould-berenaissanceman.blogspot Joseph

Alright Towni, I don’t know what’s happened but I’ve really started digging what you’ve been putting together lately.

  • Steve

Almost voted for Wes because I just bought the same color pants as he is wearing and then I saw Dan and had to vote for him. He has the “Gatsby look” going on and he did it well!
Oh, and guys, can you please refrain from using the word “dope” in your comments, there has to be a better, more descriptive word out there!

    • Alan

I haven’t really noticed ‘dope’, the ‘killing it’ thing is overused, I use it as a joke below.

‘Game’ also gets overused, it’s okay sometimes but it’s become too much of a go-to stock phrase around these parts. No need to go cold turkey, but it’s time to diversify your language game!

  • TJ

    Alex wins again.

  • BF

Dan and Towni are usually my go to votes, but John has stepped his game up in a big way.

    The Jcrew blazer/green is sick..

Dan pretty much lost me last round with that damn double breasted blazer/short trainwreck.

Is alex serious with his look or was today a joke?

  • Chris Piane

The Dan, eminent blogger of bespoke beauty…serious, sage of spring sartorial style, has again proven why he rises above the pack!

    • Carlos L

      your alliteration… impeccable.

  • Kate

I did not see my post, so here its goes again. John is the winner today! Winter has been long enough and we need clothes to reflect the new season.!

  • massimo

Alex…… shades – bad, jeans – terrible, henley – meh, shoes – filthy, shirt – fugly…even for a Hawaiian it’s about the worst Hawaiian, smirk – strange.

I guess John or Towni wins, don’t like color palette of Dan’s outfit.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Damn Massimo, always so much hate from you. Thanks anyway for reading.

    • Carlos L

Yikes… its almost Friday, cheer up, man.

  • cam

if you didn’t vote for john today, well you’re dumb

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      to each his own

  • Dan

Wes and John are winners today but I will have to give the edge to John.

  • Kate

John has a great look today, definitely brings it into spring. Winter was long enough, our clothes need to reflect a new season!

  • Alan

John wins here, despite the patch flaps.

I wore a hopsack suit (navy) with a linen (light pastel blue) waistcoat on Tuesday – I killed it obviously, but I was aware there wasn’t *quite* as much textural contrast between the pieces as I would have liked. It’s a minor criticism of Dan’s look, but really I just want to make it a win for John here.

  • Kiel

Everybody looks really great. I think I’m going with Townsend today.

Alex: Can you tell me about that henley collar t-shirt thing you’re wearing? It looks cool.

  • Chris

And Dan pulls me back in.. Love the mix.. Tho when does it get too late into spring to be mixing in the autumn colors?

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Thx Chris. I wear these colors all Spring/Summer long.

In my opinion, any color can be seasonally appropriate in the right fabric. Here, for example, the chocolate jacket is linen, the burnt orange pants are hopsack and the windowpane vest is tropical wool…

      Cheers mate.

      • John Crossley

Hmm…that might be a great post! Spring/summer looks with what some consider autumn/winter colors.

        • http://profblack.blogspot.kr/ Professor Black

          here here

  • Austin G.

    Townsend, I love that look.

  • Randy

Dan with the steal, but lately John is picking it up!

    • John Crossley

Thanks man. I’m trying for a win here. Got some tough competition though.

      • Brady P

        Got my vote today John

  • Eric

Great outfits all round; love Dan’s, but the shades of brown, to me, are a little too autumnal for this time of year. Therefore, I’ve got to give it John, the outfit emanates the transition from Spring to Summer, perfect on a day like today.

  • Sergio

Dan because of the mixture of colors and patterns. Great way to show how individual pieces of a suit can fit into an outfit.

  • Carlos L

Dan looks the best, but no way I wasn’t going to vote for Alex today. Took me back to my high school days with that shirt.

A Hawaiian shirt with a map of Hawaii?!?!? Dat shirt, tho!!

  • http://wacavenue.blogspot.com Theguybehindthelens

Dan is killing it with the various shades of brown and awesome vest.

  • Misha G.

Only Alex can wear a hawaiian shirt and still look cool!

  • Bob

What blazer is that you’re wearing?

    • http://tsbmen.com Townsend

      J Crew ludlow suit jacket.

      • Bob

Ludlow is tailored exactly to my build and I’ve been considering something in navy. Thanks.

        • http://tsbmen.com Townsend

Yeah, the tailoring is pretty fantastic, given you aren’t a difficult fit off the rack. I literally had zero alterations done to this jacket.

  • http://undefined Ray

    Dan is on a roll!!!

  • Alex

Everyone’s on point today, but big John gets my vote.

Dan– that’s an unexpected color palette, very autumnal. Great look, but I think I’d prefer to see it in early October.

  • Esmetjie

I like how Alex clothes always look like they Tell a Story. Awesome jeans Alex, and the glasses are also unique.
Wes clean and smooth as always!
John realy knows how too bring classiqe meanwear pieces too our Time !
Dan Gentleman from bottom to Top and the Brown colour combinations in this Outfit makes him to my winner on this Post.
I realy like the wiwt Posts and Sorry for my Bad englisch!

    • John Crossley

It’s all good. Thanks for commenting!

  • http://themodernprep.wordpress.com Marshall Mulherin

Damn this is really hard to call. Gave it to Wes, but everybody killed it.

  • Thomas

Towni is that a J.Crew hoodie? I believe I have the exact same one.

  • John

Wes is right about the polo shirts!

I voted for Alex, he looks cool and relaxed. Had a hard time choosing between him and John though!

    • John Crossley

Yeah I managed to get a few of those polos before they sold out. I don’t know why you don’t see more button down collars on polos. It’s a great functional detail.

  • TO

Towni. Where is that striped hoody from??

    • http://tsbmen.com Townsend

      J Crew
