1. Towni (East Coast)

Towni getting his Brad Pitt on and sticking to the menswear classics, as he does best.

“You know Fall has arrived when you start seeing flannel three-pieces, like this beautiful glenplaid by Ariston x MAB.”

“A quick side note: I recently broke our Instagram ‘likes’ record wearing this suit…but who’s counting, right guys?

Follow us @TSBmen!”

Oh Towni, you beautiful, beautiful son of a bitch.

  • adrian

one of the best outfits! Love that cardigan

  • Vince

Wes, may I ask what hair product do you use?

    • Westley Dimagiba

I use American Crew Fiber, just about a dime size amount will do.

  • Anonymous

I think Alex looks better in West Cost… Awsome outfit.
I love Towni and Wes suits.

My problem is with Dans pants. I remember fashion of Easter Island. I dont understand the entire concept. Maybe this is the first time that I dont like Dans clothes.

  • Patrick

I see that iPhone fade on the jeans pocket Alex, got the same thing on mine

  • Badger

    Towni nails it

  • Brent Kuz

Towni buttoning the bottom button of the waist coat?

  • MN

I love the idea behind the print pants but I haven’t seen Dan nail it yet.

Big part of the problem with “alternative” pant-styles is what to wear shoe wise.

The only thing that over works for me (and this is also a problem with “avant garde” stuff like Yohji) are Chucks.

I like Dan’s fit but the loafers are totally incongruous.

  • Shotcaller

I always see this guy walking around on the UES who wears his suit like Townsend’s outfit, he’s been dressed like that for at least the past year since I started working in the neighborhood. I wonder if we saw the same guy. No offense to Townsend, but I think that guy does it better: brown/grey glen plaid just seems at odds with this way of wearing a suit.

I don’t fully understand this comment, but thanks for reading!

      • Ed

This is why we need a like button on comments! hahaha

We are working on it…literally. And some other great updates to the interface of the site!

Alex, those jeans seem to fit perfectly. Which uniqlo model are they?

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      The Crawdaddy fit.

guess im a minority here but i dig the exotic print pants. girls have been doin it all along, why cant guys? thx for the inspiration dan!

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      that’s what I’m saying!!

  • Joe

Alex – did you just cut those jeans with scissors, or is there a method for getting such a clean and only slightly frayed hem? (Yes, I realize my ignorance is showing).

    • http://tsbmen.com Alex Crawford

Haha that’s not ignorant! I just cut them with scissors, I was intentionally imprecise (didn’t want them looking too perfect). When you first cut them they look ridiculous, but don’t panic, it really takes a good few days of wear to get the nice fray. Also, I’m a denim washer and the cut looked way better after I washed this pair.

      • Joe

My name is Joe, and I am a denim washer. Welcome Alex.

        (And thanks for the tip)

        • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      • Joe

But seriously, you got to let us know when those loafers hit the shelves (specifically the electronic shelves). Gotta find me some of those.

  • http://undefined Steve

I really have been wondering how Dan and Alex are going to work their style here in LA and you guys look fantastic! Alex really coming to his own here in LA, taking the best of both worlds from his style and its great to see Dan taking the more casual route.

You guys seem to be having fun embracing the casual style around here! Love it

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Thanks Steve! We’re still getting used to it…

      Cheers brother.

I told myself, “I guess Alex holds extra power in the extra amount of hair he has.” I voted for him simply because the guy has def come a long way with style. Not necessarily saying he “sucked” in the beginning of me starting to read this site, his style then wasn’t my cup of tea but lately when I’ve come back to read new posts I see he’s stepping up his dress. Towni’s vest/trouser combo and white shirt look clean and simple (def channels Pitt, I see it). Wes’s suit is a killer….but Dan since you’ve been winning WIWT lately, did you dress for comfort or intent to kill. Not saying the outfit is bad by all means but to me it says “I’ve been winning so I’ll take it easy today.”

    • http://tsbmen.com Alex Crawford

Thanks a lot! I definitely feel more confident lately. It’s hard not to feel like a style N00B when you hang out with Dan, Towni, and Wes though.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Hmm… Readers tend to vote for the outfits that they can most relate to, or would be most likely to wear. Classic conservative menswear always gets more votes.

But that’s not necessarily the point of the WIWT today series. It’s about showing the different perspectives of the members of the TSB team…and hopefully inspiring guys to find their own style point of view.

So in that sense, yea, I don’t necessarily dress to win the WIWTs…

  • http://undefined Big Jon

East Coast all the way! Towni and Wes brought it.

  • Joe

Alex, for the overall look, but mostly for those killer loafers (and I don’t really like loafers in general). Towni was a close second.

  • http://undefined TimL

    Ok guys… all lookin fly,

Dan, I can’t get over those pajama pants and they don’t work for me.

Wes, Great suit but I think those would look awesome as seperate pieces. Love the jacket.

Alex, Looking nice and casual sporting you big wavey doo!

The win goes to Towni for me. This my kinda look that I would be sportin on a regular basis for work. Nice suit, love the 3 piece look.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Great breakdown. Thanks for sharing your opinions TimL!

The classic suits seem to always take the cake…but where’s the fun in that?

      • Sam

Agreed. Love the classics, but I almost always vote for whoever takes a risk and pulls it off the best.

  • Calvin

Wes how do you get so lucky with your thrift finds? I live in a rural area with lots of farm land so our local shops suck. I have to go to the shops in Pittsburgh to even stand a chance. It’s a struggle.

    • http://www.tsbmen.com Westley Dimagiba

I check a few shops in my area everyday and have good relationships with their owners. Ask around about shipments and such, it goes a long way ;]

  • Parker

Wes with that clean ass suit

  • Ali

Alex gets it this time. The most laid back, but still put together. I have been seriously loving Alex’s steeze in the last three or four months.

  • http://dapperadvisor.tumblr.com Akil

Wes! Those loafers are dope and compliments that suit perfectly great job bro

  • John B

I’m a sucker for glen plaid so Towni wins! Nice touch with the functioning last button on that vest!

Wes’ suit is the same with a windowpane suit Dan has worn in the past?

    • http://www.tsbmen.com Westley Dimagiba

      different suits, probably similar fabrics.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Wes’ skinny ass would be swimming in my bespoke suits. He can’t see me on the bench!!

      • http://www.tsbmen.com Westley Dimagiba

smh you know I gained weight…!

        “skinny ninja but my…”

  • http://undefined Towni

Went with Towni. That suit is a monster, but he still manages to make it feel casual. Well played, sir.

    • http://undefined Joshua

Just noticed i put Towni’s name as my own. Lol, That what i get for looking at this site and trying to do paperwork at the same time.

  • LouCaves

Ugh! A toss up between Wes and Towni for me. Going with Towni just because of the vest.

Great idea, Wes. Too bad my ol’ man is a hoarder so I can’t score any ties from him without having to give ‘em back. HA!

Dan, one word on the shoes: NICE.

    Thanks, TSB.

    • http://undefined TimL

      Thats is a great idea.
I went to a fabric store and did the same thing. Bought some different patterns really cheap, cut them in 18in squares and fold them so the edges don’t show. Lots of colorful pocket squares for me to wear with sport coats.

  • http://wideeyestightwallets.com Adam

Towni, hands down. That is a beautiful suit, and very well worn!

  • cam

towni all day! im pretty sure idris elba stole your look in this months GQ…can’t blame him though

  • Sergio

Wes for me! The dark windowpane suit is simply awesome!

  • Steve

I like the fit of Wes’ suit and the overall look of sophistication and confidence of the outfit. It makes him look like he should be taken seriously.
Wes – I would do anything to have a head of hair like yours!!!
