10. Shades of Blue

I’ve seen perfectly-fitting flannel DB jackets, although those rounded lapels are fresh. What I haven’t seen? A knit tie with monochromatic vertical color blocking! Also, perfect fit on those glasses, and nice touch with the subtle tie bar & lapel knot.

  • Blue Dress Shirt
  • Blue Tie
  • Blue DB Blazer
  • White Chinos
  • Brown Leather Desert Boots

Yours in style,

I need to trim up… can you guys ask #6 to write a diet plan? And where did you dig up Egon Spengler? I thought he O.D.’d on free base after Ghostbusters went out of business.

  • http://boulevardmode.tumblr.com Rey

    Amazing fits. Definitely inspired me.

  • aj_B

Birkenstocks? Nah, dog. I don’t care what website you founded, it’s not a good look.

  • The GZA

    Schlossy, that jacket Boglioli?

  • http://wacavenue.blogspot.com Theguybehindthelens

Must get a olive cotton blazer pronto.

  • Henri

The looks on the more casual side all work fairly well, but apart from #4 not really feeling the suiting displayed here.

  • Gazman

The guy in number 4 looks great, but can’t say same for some of the others. I understand that it’s all about individualism, creating your own style, yadda, yadda, but seriously, WTF are those hideous footwear on the dude in pic 5? If it was worn but a schmoe no one knows you’d call it for what it is – awful, but as it is worn by some bloke with a style blog, then it is considered somehow ‘stylish’.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Gazman, your constant negative comments kill me. Out of these 10 looks, you only appreciate #4?

The Birkenstocks are having something of a comeback in trend-forward communities, as seen with updated editions (like navy suede) worn by fashion influencers (like LAS).

Ironically, what you mention is exactly the point of developing personal style, in my opinion. With a great eye for style, you can pull-off just about anything… The same piece worn by a “schmoe” looks “awful” like you said…but worn by a person with great style can look very cool and inspire others. THAT IS STYLE.

Anyway, thanks for your continue support.

      • Gazman

        Constant? Way off the mark.

      • Gazman

BTW, I said I don’t like ‘some of the others’ but I like especially #4. FYI, I like #10, #9 and #2. I also like the bloke in white in #5. There you go.

I think you read what you want to read, Dan.

  • Tommy

The 5th picture got me back to your old blog and I’ve just finished reading all of them.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Nice! Four years later I think most of it is still relevant, yea?

      • Jimi Brady

Yes, absolutely – I just went through a lot of your original posts several weeks ago, and it was just as helpful/inspiring as it was when I first read ‘em.

  • Brady P

Best street style by far! Killer looks all the way around.

  • http://undefined Cobby

    Love ‘em all.

  • http://www.vincentnappi.com/ Vincent

All these looks are nice as hell.

I’m really sold on 5 & 6 though…Is there anything as sharp as a guy wearing a suit just because he wants to?

Someone needs to proof read #5. Unless both guys are on the right, or the guy on the right is actually two people at the same time.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

      Fixed, funny guy.

  • Joe

Gonna need a Guerre feature stat! How about a “cool and comfortable shooting in NYC” theme?

  • Ali Naaseh

Holy COW Niko looks fresh, I want to be that guy

  • Shawn

    Always loved Guerre’s style!
