TSBmen rule #1: Always bring your A game.

Vote for your favorite outfit using the poll at the end of the post, and tell us why in the comments!

1. Dan

Photography shot with the Canon EOS 70D digital SLR camera, with Dual Pixel AF technology and built-in Wi-Fi

Our friends at Ted Baker wanted to get my opinion on their new collection, which was released along with their new Street Winker campaign; a series of sharp-witted style videos starring fellow Canadian and co-founder of Vice, Gavin McInnes.

So I chose my favorite pieces and today I’m test driving them. I started with the first two styles that caught my eye: the slim-cut mac with removable collar (cut from herringbone flannel) and the dotted jersey knit blazer in a deep red color.

I really like the orange/cognac/burgundy color of the leather on these brogues, as well as the contrast with the lighter sole. They’re also surprisingly comfortable right out of the box.

In other news, staying strong with the GentleMo for Movember.

Did I miss the announcement where John Crossley has moved on from TSB?

  • Badger

Dan looks smart and relaxed without compromising either. All the looks are great today though, actually!

  • Proof Reader

Just A Men Show? on Wes’ look.

    • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

Just A Men Shoe. As in http://www.justamenshoe.com

      • Rich

In Wes’ outfit listing there is a typo, which Proof Reader is alluding to.

Wes always does it for me; simple, modern yet somehow classic. Camel coats & monk straps are a big trend this fall/winter and his sleek style makes its youthful and wearable.

But I am kind of feeling Yuvi’s nouveau grunge look also.

      It’s comments like this.

      thank you

    Voted Wes.

What are you wearing on your wrists Wes?

    • http://www.tsbmen.com Westley Dimagiba

it’s a bracelet from an NYC street vendor

I get that you have to have a profitable business model. But it seems forcing head-to-toe ensembles or any sponsored pieces for posts is a bit odd and counterintuitive to true personal style.

All it says to me as the reader is ‘Sponsored outfit. Annoying.’

Just think there’s more efficient means for profit than doing that.

I know where you’re coming from. Truthfully though, in order for us to grow and continue creating free content on a full-time basis, we need sponsorship. We keep sponsored content minimal, only feature pieces that we actually love and wear, and only work with brands who respect our need for 100% creative control.

Consider the alternatives: not only is EVERY style piece in major men’s magazines sponsored in some way (or purchased along with ad pages), but they make you pay for the content (which is only published once per month), and they celebrate the thickness of their issues (the more ad pages the better).

Our new website will have better integrated ads, which will make the user experience more fluid and allow us to have more flexibility with our content. More on that soon.

Take a note from Pesko & Thoreson – men.style esque. Weekly videos with commentary on lines and sponsored content while reviewing clothes and other lifestyle items – with ads before video.

        • http://tsbmen.com Dan Trepanier

You obviously don’t know the story behind men.style. Nevertheless, we are teaming up with a great production company here in LA for a whole new video series concept. Stay tuned…several exciting announcements coming before the end of the year!

That moleskin topcoat is making me lightheaded, too clean, I had to give it to my brother Wes, repping for all of us who came from streetwear

Wes is in the lead? Dan had the most playful outfit! All the right textures were there and the colors he chose? Beautiful. I mean, sock game was on point because it is a really subtle color.. blue might have been the obvious colour in my opinion, and proportions were nice too… I’m a fan.

  • John B

Voted for Dan, he looks really relaxed!

I really like cargo pants. Today I tried an olive pair with a khaki blazer, but didn’t like it though. Probably because the jacket was really casual (patch pockets etc). I may try again with a navy jacket. Maybe they shouldn’t be dressed up, but the definitely suit Alex.

  • Miguel G

This is my all-time favorite outfit that Alex has ever shown. The texture play was excellent.

Wes wins today. Easy. Nice clean look and the sweater, “Oh Gawd” *Big Sean’s voice* but everyone looks great as usually.

  • Jack

    That mustache looks disturbingly good.

    • http://undefined Joshua

      Lol, it really does.

  • AM

    Hi everyone!

Im a big fan of Dan, but today I voted fo Wes, because he looks simple and elegant. Alex boots deserve an extra point, I need to buy it!

Im amontoyas in instagram. Im new there xD

  • cam

Dark denim, cashmere sweater, leather monks and classic top coat = never out of style

  • http://www.techmorobo.com Chris

Wes killed it, and it’s nice to see that topcoat worn casually, I thrifted one a month or so ago and I haven’t worn it yet not sure how to break it out.

  • http://ramblingsofawould-berenaissanceman.blogspot Joseph

That pop of color from Wes’ sweater puts him way over the top for me. He definitely gets the win in my book.

  • http://www.whitneynicjames.com Whitney

Wes did it for me. I love the overcoat and those shoes. The scarf was a nice touch as well!

  • http://undefined Jeanscuffed

Wes killed it, keeping with his Filipino James Dean theme on his casual/cool sh*t…..BUT I will say that Yuvi’s jeans/sweats combo are very cool/unique.

  • Shawn

Tough choice once again between Dan and Wes, but I had to go with Dan! The Mac, that jersey and that tie (especially) got me! I’m wondering what that mac would look with a detachable fur collar! And Alex, who cares if the cargos are played out or not, rock ‘em if you like ‘em, after all, you’re wearing them for your own pleasure, not to please anonymous people behind computer screens! If it’s of any comfort, I think they look really great on you, the cut is flattering! Keep up!
