2. Commuting to the Office
The shape and proportion of this jacket make it read as casual, but the fabric and construction look luxurious and dressy. Throw it over a shirt, tie and thin knit and you have a great business casual jacket that will set you apart from the 9-5 crowd in overszied topcoats.
Bonus Tip: The downside of a shorter bomber jacket is that it doesn’t work over a suit jacket or blazer. The upside is that it works for just about any other occasion.
Bonus Tip II: Speaking of bridging the gap between casual or formal – the wool flannel 5-pocket jean is the best pant for your buck right now. I just picked these up from Nordstrom and have been wearing them day in and night out.
Bonus Tip III: A saw Marwan wearing these awesome grey wingtips by Florsheim (here) and I knew I had to have them. At $170, they’re a no brainer. In fact, feel free to stock on a few colors – you’ll wear them more than you think.

Is the duffle from Filson?
It is indeed.
SB-
Any suggestion for a slightly cheaper wool bomber? I really like yours but its a tad out of my price range. I’ll stick to navy or grey, maybe something like this would work (http://www.wilsonsleather.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11767520&CAWELAID=949470053)? The fact that its Sean John scares me into thinking its not going to be as slim-fit as it should be..
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Hey man, I’m just wondering if you could recommend a decent boot I can beat to hell. I’m really looking for something like the W+H x Dayton Service Boot. Only not 700$ and impossible to find.
Thanks!
surprised you actually wore a shirt underneath that bomber… wow
I don’t get it,but thx for reading Billy

Great looks.
Dan..Look #2 is perfect. Those lowngings are dope, to me, personally, I think Florsheim is completely underrated. My duckie brown wings (red/green/silver) are amongest my fave’s. Now with your stamp of approval, I am willing to bet we’ll see more of these on men’s feet now.
Bravo,
Rob
You’re packing those jeans in pic # 3! Damn!
Way to keep your Nordstrom deal subtle.

You are playing the tourist in Chi-Town…wow Dan!!! Splendid!!!
dope droppings? nope. why in chicago its a no fly
That’s a dope bomber. I love its inconspicuousness, and obvious versatility;)
Have you seen any other brands come out with the flannel jeans? Cool option.
The German company Gardeur makes great ones. Usually in a couple different colors every fall!
This post is extremely dope! Perfect for upcoming season!
On point as always, SB on top of his game!
Nice post. Chicago’s a great city.
I like those wool flannel 5-pocket pants, but I can’t find them anywhere online. Can you give us some more info?
Here’s another option if you can’t find those. http://www.barneys.com/Flannel-Jeans/501313602,default,pd.html?cgid=MPANTS1
On point as usual! When is the fall/winter collection dropping?
Bro – how about linking direct to the products?? Can’t find any of them thanks to Nordstrom’s crappy site.
What Redwing boots are those?
Iron Ranger
I like the clothing but these photos are very overexposed, and you’re losing a lot of the details from the outfits because of that.
Nice post, though.
Great post SB, always nice to show people how to use the same item more than one way so it doesn’t sit in the closet.
